EVO DIOCESE RECEIVES FIRST PRIZE TROPHY FOR MASSIVE MOBILIZATION FOR DIVCCON

It was an atmosphere of jubilation from the participants of the Diocese of Evo for emerging the first position with a total of 954 persons who attended the all-Anglican praise and prayer convention which took place at The National Christian Centre, Abuja from Monday 7th November, 2022 to Friday 11th November, 2022.


The Diocese of Asaba took the second position while Diocese of Umuahia and Diocese of Aba Ngwa took the third and fourth positions respectively.


His Grace, the Most Rev. Tunde Adeleye, the national DIVCCON Coordinator said the Diocese of Evo showed strong faith, commitment and tenacity in massively mobilising its faithful for the event despite the security alert released by some foreign missions prior to the convention.


Receiving the award from the Archbishop, Metropolitan and Primate of all Nigeria and wife, The Most Rev'd Henry Chukwudum and Mrs. Angela Ndukuba, the Bishop, Diocese of Evo, The Rt. Rev'd Innocent U. Ordu (JP) in excitement said "the award was well deserved, because we have worked hard for it over the years".


He also appreciated the clergy and laity for their efforts and emphasized that "the most important thing was our spiritual edification, because DIVCCON is a refreshing and soul lifting event."


He stressed on the need for all not to rest on their oars and promised for a better outing in the coming years editions of DIVCCON.


Conclusively, he wished all a safe trips back home and encouraged all to disseminate the knowledge and spiritual edification gained from DIVCCON while reminding the members of Diocese of Evo not to forget the upcoming Discipleship Conference which begins at St. Jude's Anglican Church, Oginigba District from Wednesday, 16th November 2022.
