ALL ROUND ADVANCEMENT IN SPIRIT, SOUL, AND BODY

Text: 1 Thessalonians 5:23

Introduction:

God desires our life's journey of 2024 not to be a one-sided affair but an all-sphere, progressive advancement affecting things of the body (health and wellbeing), the soul, and also our spiritual endeavours.

God created the body to comprise human organs, tissues, and cells, containing a person's tangible and visible aspects that interact with the physical world through the five senses of sight, touch, taste, smell, and hearing. The body is the outer vessel part that houses the soul and spirit, which is subject to biological, physical, and godly laws and requires proper care and maintenance for overall health.

God made the soul the immaterial inner self of a human being, associated with thoughts, emotions, memories, and personality, distinct and continuing after death. God's thoughts desire to accommodate a man's soul to become the seat of his divine consciousness, self-awareness, and free will, influencing his behaviours, beliefs, and experiences.

A man's spirit is a person's non-physical or transcendental aspect, representing a connection to something beyond him, such as a higher power, universal consciousness, or divine energy, often linked to purpose, morality, and a deeper meaning in life, and the source of inspiration, intuition, and spiritual experiences, guiding individuals on their personal and ethical paths.

Today's text confirms God's willingness to sanctify and preserve his children in body, soul, and spirit without partial treatment.

Prosperity in God is an all-around benefit seen and manifested in good health (3 John 1:2), possessing a living soul (Gen. 2:7), and a life-quickening spirit (1 Cor.15:45), sealed with the nature and desire to follow and live according to the entire plan of God for man.

Prayer* : Lord, make me this year to witness an advancement in my body, in the soul, and in my spiritual nature as you have desired for me in your word.
