SUB-THEME: GOD WITH US IN HARD TIMES
TOPIC: "Walking Through The Valley"
TEXT: Psalm 23:4
Life brings unexpected pain, loss, fear and trials. Valley represents life's darkest, most difficult, and scariest seasons of suffering, uncertainty, or trials. They are inevitable seasons of life. King David in our text reminds us that Valleys are not a permanent home, but an unavoidable part of the journey through life.
Every person faces difficult seasons of hardship, grief or sickness, marital challenges or emotional trauma. Valleys are temporary. You cannot rush or sprint through a valley; you must walk through it patiently, as God determines the depth and the duration.
Valley experience in our lives might be a consequence of personal disobedience especially when we wonder away from the shepherd's path into difficult places by our choices like the prodigal son (Luke 15:11-24). It could be as a result of unfair actions of others such as betrayal, hurt as in the case of Joseph (Genesis 37:12-36) or divine purpose where the Lord Himself may lead us into a valley to purify our character, strip away distractions, and teach us total dependence on Him.
In all our valley experiences, acknowledge God's presence "Thou art with me..." (Psalm 23:4). Keep your mind anchored in God’s promises and trust in His saving grace. You will surely see the end of the tunnel. (Psalm 30:5)
PRAYER: Father, I surrender my situation entirely to you. I place my fears, pain, and my confusion into your hands. Walk with me through every step of this journey in Jesus Christ name. Amen
