SUB-THEME: PRINCIPLES OF UNLIMITED ADVANCEMENT AND ALL-ROUND FRUITFULNESS
TOPIC: TRUST GOD AT ALL TIMES AND IN ALL CIRCUMSTANCES
TEXTS: Jer. 17:7; Prov. 3:5–6
“Trust is about firm belief in the reliability, truth, or ability of someone or something," according to the Oxford dictionary. To trust God means to believe in His reality and abilities. Even when there are challenges, disappointments, failures, and heartbreaks confronting our lives and progress, we still rely on and hold strongly to what God says in His word. To trust in the Lord at all times and circumstances implies that, through what we have seen in scripture, experienced, and heard from others, we have decided to put our confidence in Him.
To trust God at all times and in all circumstances will involve continuing in prayers, the word of God, fellowship, and service even when things are hard; there is a lack due to famine, an increase in the cost of goods and services, health challenges, etc.
When we subject ourselves to trusting in God, He brings out the best in us; the fruits of the Holy Spirit are manifested in our lives; and our unfavourable conditions are changed to the extent that others can also see and believe in God for their own circumstances.
Trust in the Lord attracts blessings from God (Jer. 17:7), and we should always remember that our confidence in Him has a great reward (Heb. 10:35).
Prayer: Lord, grant me grace to trust you at all times.
